Baby Shower in AZ - January 31

I had an awesome baby shower in Arizona with my friends Lexie and Kellyn who flew in just to host the shower. We had a great time catching up after 2 years of us all seeing each other. I'll let the pictures do the talking here.

Crib, Bedding & Dresser

Here are some pics of the crib, bedding and dresser. I got the crib and dresser/changing table online at JCPenney.com and the bedding at Babies R Us. I'm working on hanging up baby clothes this weekend and organizing all the stuff we got from the shower in IL. Only 2 more weeks until the shower in AZ! The showers may not be over yet either because some girls at Pure Fitness want to have their own shower for me as well. So nice!

Baby Stuff Galore

Thing are in full swing and we're doing a lot of shopping for all the stuff we'll need. Plus, I had a great shower in IL and got tons of stuff (we mailed all 5 boxes of it back to AZ and it arrived today--yay!) We bought the stroller/carseat this weekend, so we're getting closer to having everything we need. I found some cribs and dressers I like on JCPenney.com and I plan to buy bedding this weekend. The room now needs to be painted! Hopefully Jeff's up for that, cause I hate to paint. Too bad my sister wasn't here...she loves to paint. :-)


It was fun to get back to work and the gym after being off for 2 weeks and have everyone see how much I've grown. My co-worker measured my belly at 38 1/2 inches before I left and 2 weeks later I was 40 3/4 inches!! I feel like I'm growing by the day, but I'm still small compared to some people. 28 weeks on Thursday!

Tomorrow we have another ultrasound, so fingers crossed our little boy gives a good picture this time.

I'm now getting excited about shower #2 on January 31 put on by my friends Lexie and Kellyn. They are coming from across the country to be here so I love them!! Then my friends Rachel and Stephanie want to do a shower at work and some girls from one of the gyms I work at want to have a shower, too...Phew! I feel so loved :-)

Happy New Year!

Well, we had a wonderful visit with everyone in IL, but we are anticipating getting back to AZ to enjoy the warmer weather and to see our dog and cats :-)

Jeff's mom took this pic of me this morning at 26 weeks on New Years Day. It's the year baby boy Burchfield will come into this world and now I can officially start panicking over all of the stuff we still have to do to prepare for his arrival! 2009 is definitely going to be one roller coaster year with a new baby and my sister's wedding in June.

25 Weeks, 5 Days

Here's a new photo at 25 weeks, 5 days. Melissa took this one of me with my new Kate Spade diaper bag she got me for Christmas. It's so cute and not too girly for Jeff to carry!

We have been having a great time seeing our friends and family in Illinois. Baby Burchfield has been kicking like crazy lately and my mom and sister got to feel him, so that was fun. We also got to SEE him kicking one night at my sister's house. My stomach was "rolling" a little bit :-) We happened to be watching the movie "Knocked Up" at the time, too. Hehehehee...

23 Weeks

I am at home relaxing while Jeff works at the guard today. Went to the gym this morning, got my nails done...it's been a productive day :-) I need to finish Christmas shopping soon, so I plan to go to Kohls and Target today. My two favorite places lately!

We got our first baby gifts in the mail this week - baby gym from Tammy and bouncer seat from my mom and sister. Yay! Baby Boy Burchfield is still moving around quite a bit and Jeff felt him move the other day!

Back from Hawaii!

Not really a true "babymoon" but Jeff had to go to Hawaii with the Army National Guard, so I just had to go, too! I spent some time on the beach and shopping alone, but we got to go to Pearl Harbor together then we got to drive around the island on Sunday.

The 6-hour flight wasn't as bad as I imagined and I was surpisingly comfortable with a pillow behind my back. (Jeff took another flight on an Air Force plane).

That's my newest and biggest pregnancy complaint in month 5--back pain! My doctor said it could be from gall bladder issues, but it doesn't seem to be since I don't have the pain after eating certain foods. I think I may have pulled something and now I just have normal pregnancy back pain as well.

The last couple weeks have been great because I've felt the baby move (I'm pretty sure now, but wasn't so sure at first...is that gas or a baby?!?) Now I think I'm actually feeling him kick :-) He kicked me somewhat hard for the first time while I was on the plane and I almost laughed out loud because it was so weird!! Jeff hasn't had a chance to feel him yet, but it's getting more frequent so I'm sure he'll catch it soon.

I am now getting very excited to go back and visit everyone in Illinois for Christmas. Melissa and Beth are planning a baby shower on December 20 so I am so excited for that, too!
